That would be kind of horrible. I guess maybe he'd make contact to find
out more about his mom, though he has yet t do so. I think in Manson's
case the problem wasn't necessarily a bad seed as much as environment,
so at least he need not fret about being defective himself. I can't see
feeling affection, though - it's not like Manson spent any time caring
for this person such that a bond would be created.

Before I read the article, I thought, "Maybe he's into genealogy, or he
wants to know what he can about any medical or psychological problems that
he might have inherited. Then in the article, he mentions the
psychological. I imagine any slight "emotional attachment" would be a
result of the letters that Manson wrote to him, and whatever information he
shared. Maybe he's confusing curiosity with attachment. Also, it's not as
if he knew either one of his birth parents; so I think I can understand his
not getting more upset about Manson raping his mother than he would about a
rape of a any other stranger.

manson had a few kids and some of them know he's their father. I saw
some news story about his son by Mary Brunner...he looks like her, not
manson, and was raised by his grandparents and seems pretty normal.
His grandparents made sure not to tell him about his family until he
was old enough. There must be a few others out there, considering how
many women he had, consensually or otherwise.
The guy probably just wants to know some stuff about his family, but
charles manson doesn't even know who HIS father was.

Why the frick would he want to publicly anounce it?!?!?! There's something
weird about that. It would be hard enough to accept it on a private level,
but cripes, that's the last thing I would want people to know. I know I
would personally hesitate to date somebody that was known as Manson's son,
*especially* since he supposedly looks just like him. <shivers>
