Iowa immigration raid largest ever in U.S.
Nearly 400 were arrested at the kosher meatpacking plant

POSTVILLE, Iowa - A raid at a northeastern Iowa meat processing plant
this week was the largest in U.S. history, federal authorities said.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials say 390 people were
arrested on immigration charges after Monday’s raid at Agriprocessors
Inc. in Postville. The facility is the world’s largest kosher meatpacking
plant.
The raid was aimed at seeking evidence of identity theft, stolen Social
Security numbers and people who are in the country illegally.
Fifty-six of those arrested have been released on humanitarian grounds;
many of them have to take care of children.

Asked about the raid during a Monday news conference, Gov. Chet Culver
said both illegal immigrants and companies that knowingly hire them
should be prosecuted.
"Illegal means illegal, not just those who are crossing the border
illegally but those who are responsible for helping to make it happen,”

I know the place very well. East coast Jews moved to Postville and took over a
defuct bankrupt packing plant that nice white middle class crooks had milked to
death and run into the ground leaving Postville destitute! Those folks now live
in
Florida (millionaires). The Jews paid a fortune for the plant,
more than it was worth, had to stip the place, get all new machinery, and
started Koser processing plant and gave people jobs - all kinds of people. The
work is hard. The jobs
pay well. It wasnt some miracle at tax payer's expense. Just
a lot of hard work and intense stubborn "we are going to make
this work" - what my fellow Jews are best at! The rest is history and fully
documented on every side.
That's the whole story and the truth of it.
Its a lot like generations ago when it was the Irish who worked
the hard jobs in the packing houses. Today it is Mexicans
and others and poor Jewish immigrants who cant get a stake
anywhere else.
Quite frankly, it would do you proud!

The working conditions were brutal, and Agriprocessors had been cited for
numerous safety violations.
