richard heeneBalloon Boy dad Richard Heene was sentenced to 30 days in
prison, 60 days work release and 4 years of probation.
Heene�s wife, Mayumi Heene was sentenced to 4 years probation for false
reporting to authorities.
ABC News reports
Today, Larimer County Court Judge Stephen Schapanski sentenced the
man behind one of the year�s biggest scandals to 90 days jail and four
years probation. He also prohibited Richard Heene from making any money
off the balloon boy fiasco during that time.
Schapanski stated that Richard Heene must spend 30 days in jail
beginning Jan. 11, 2010. The remaining 60 days of his sentence may be
carried out under �work release,� meaning he can work during the day and
spend nights in prison.
�This will be supervised probation,� Schapenski said about that
part of the sentence. �The terms and conditions will be that Mr. Heene
is in fact prohibited from receiving any form of financial benefit �
whether it be media, a book, an article he writes � anything of that
kind that stems from this incident.�
The judge also ruled that Richard Heene must write a letter of
apology to the community and public service agencies that were roped
into the Oct. 15 stunt, perform 100 hours of community service and
submit to random drug or alcohol testing.

Apparently they took into account that she had no prior criminal record,
and she confessed earlier than he did.

He admitted to coming up the whole idea (building the balloon, putting
the kid in the attic to hide, making sure everyone saw the balloon
sail off, et al) so he could make money, get a reality show, and
become a "tv" personality. She told the police her son was in the
balloon, knowing he wasn't.

In general, I may be inclined to agree with you. Not in this case.
Have you ever seen her interviewed? She is barely smart enough to tie
her own shoes (which may be why they are *still* married, because he
is a massive loser). She didn't help "plan" that anymore than *I* did.

that this guy was taking the blame, but *she* was equally
responsible. My point was, she was too stupid to be equal at
anything.
I had no comment about her jail time, nor his. My comments were based
on what you appeared to be saying (by omission). That was my only
