Runaway Bride's Wedding Plans May Be Finished

(05/19/06 - ATLANTA, GA) - The runaway bride who generated a media storm
with her phony tale of abduction and the fiance who took her back have
broken up for good, the man's friends and family told People Magazine.

"We're just glad there's a final resolution," John Mason's father, Claude
Mason, told the magazine. He had planned to be his son's best man at the
wedding.
Jennifer Wilbanks, 33, told the magazine: "John and I have some things to
work out."

Wilbanks would not confirm or deny a breakup, the magazine said on its Web
site Thursday. She, her attorney and a family spokesman did not respond to
requests seeking comment Friday. Her mother, Joyce Parrish, declined to
comment.

Wilbanks disappeared four days before the scheduled wedding in April 2005.
Hundreds of police officers and volunteers searched for her for three days
before she called Mason from Albuquerque, N.M., claiming to have been
abducted and sexually assaulted.

She later recanted, saying she fled because of personal issues, and pleaded
no contest to telling police a phony story. She also was sentenced to two
years probation, which she performed through community service that included
mowing the lawns of public buildings.

What is there to work out? You're a psycho whore, he's onto you.
Buh-bye.

I can't find the part where it says he dumped her. What am I missing?

Sorry, that's the way it was reported on the news today. Once I heard it on
the news, I looked online to find an article.

It doesn't exactly *say* it; we're inferring it. When his family and
friends say it's over, her family won't comment at all, and she says she and
John have "some things to work out," that tells me that John doesn't intend
to marry her...and she's in denial.

(I wonder how many lawns she actually mowed to satisfy her community
service.)

MAN! That woman's eyes creep me out BAD. But I gotta tell you, I would
have a problem marrying a guy who wants his dad to be his best man. Does
his mommy tuck him in every night, too?

Ok, these folks have had more than their allotted 15 minutes. Time to move
along. Nothin to see here.
