Is there an easy way to check if the correct taxes, airport charges or
whatever they are have been charged?

A couple of days ago I booked SOU-EDI return and was charged 26.60
'tax'. Then I notice that Ryanair have lower taxes on many European
destinations - I thought domestic flights were charged at less? I've
always accepted that whatever tax was charged would be correct, now I'm
wondering.

Not really.
If you go to the H.M. Customs & Excise Web Site you can get the new
rates of U.K. Air Pasenger Duty, which were changed in the last budget.
Airport charges vary considerably, airlines seem to differ in the
extent they pass them on and I am not aware of any easy reference site
for them.

Why do Ryanair never seem to include taxes in their advertising? They are
always advertising sales that are going to expire at "midnight" on a more or
less permanent basis and very rarely seem to quote inclusive prices. I
thought it was a legal requirement to state the inclusive price now?
Their sales remind me of the dodgy looking shops you see in the high street
that seem to exist in a permanent state of discounts and offer cheap looking
furniture that isn't worth a fraction of even the sale price.
