Fairchild Garden Free Sunday Pictures - Coral Gables, FL

We let our annual membership at the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden
expire a long time ago. When we heard about the "Free Sundays" in
August that they offer, we went back to take advantage of it. The
normal adult admission is $20 per person so it's a good deal.

This time we stayed away from the most frequented areas of the garden
since we've seen them before. Instead we walked around the less
groomed areas of the property which has more wildlife.

The best thing we saw during the visit was the soft shell turtles that
would swim towards you in the pond. I guess they are used to being fed
by some visitors. It was also great seeing a really large and tame
soft shell turtle up close.
