Not yet. I don't have the set myself and haven't seen images or
transcripts online yet. Someone's offered to send me scans or post them
on a site for me to see, but I may not be able to get to them until late
in the week anyway.

Ah, excellent. Last time I checked Dr. Sigma's site (a few days ago),
these weren't up yet. Teach me to check back. :-)
Okay, story's partly done as of this post, and should be done tomorrow,
work willing. The bios should be doable by week's end.
Thanks a lot!
Turns out work wasn't willing and neither was I, after a fashion. Spent
most of the weekend trying to stay off my feet, on doctor's orders. Got
some better pain reliever today. Details available on request, but
darned if I'm gonna bore the whole newsgroup with 'em.
Point is, that's why the story and bios didn't go up over the weekend.
And with the painkiller I'm on, it may explain some odder turns of
phrase. At any rate, here they are now:
SIXTRAIN! ACTIVATE RED MODE!!
With a cry of "SixTrain! Activate Red Mode!!" SixTrain's body blazed
carmine. His giant form engulfed in flame, he raced off at tremendous
speed. His target was a Destron, Beserker Mode SixWing. The two
titanic robots clashed, scattering countless sparks. Shaking the earth
and painting the skies crimson with fire, their powers of Good and Evil
struggled with each other. For an instant, both of them seemed to
freeze, and SixTrain let forth a resounding roar. His fusion undone,
SixWing scattered in all directions. As SixTrain remained stock still,
all limbs outstretched, the Destron forces retreated, showering him with
jeers. Watching SixTrain deactivate his Red Mode, the Turbo Team's
Sireen murmured, "So that's the power of a piece of the Matrix..."
"I wonder if the Destrons' plan was to make this dormant volcano erupt?"
Discharge worried, appropos of a firetruck.
Convertor replied gently to her question: "The Destrons had been digging
up the ground. Take a look--it looks just like the remains of ruins
excavation. I can only conclude that there's some secret underground.
Some time ago I performed a concentrated scanning operation with Joe's
assistance, and there appears to be some kind of special stratum below."
"So, let's take over the excavation, then," said Digger, his shovel
biting into the earth... The unearthing proceeded favorably, and an
ancient secret was soon to be revealed.
"Convertor, sir! I think we've finally found something..." Raise's
voice echoed out, as if to put a stop to Gran-Arm's grumbling.
"Something's there!" Raise's special ability was providing guarantees.
What they'd uncovered were two pieces of metal.
"This one resembles the type of metal generally used in the outer hulls
of spaceships on our own world of Cybertron," came Crushbull's analysis.
Painted on the other piece was an eerie, purple mark resembling an
insect's head.
"I don't know what this represents," Convertor said, "but one thing is
certain. These metal pieces belong to robot lifeforms similar to us Transformers."
"Judging by the dating of the stratum, it would seem our companions
arrived on this world about three million years ago..." The sound of an
explosion cut short Desire's guesswork, and the Destron Wing Team came
flying in along with it.
"Good job digging!" Chaingun yelled. "Now we'll just be taking that
unburied treasure!" SixWing combined.
"Return fire. Build Team, protect the ruins. Train Team, combine!"
SixTrain merged at Desire's command, and the battle was on!!
At the Cybertron base, Diego and Sireen discussed the report they'd
received. "If we match the metal pieces found at the ruins to the
Matrix fragment discovered in Desire, could we continue getting closer
to one of our goals?"
In response to Diego's query, Sireen said, "Let's hope those ruins
provide us some sort of answer. Okay, let's hurry in and lend our
support too!"
The endless war between Cybertron and Destron has begun once again at
the base of the sacred peak, Mount St. Hillary.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Hokkaido Bullet Train/DESIRE
The Train Team leader. Has an uncrushably strong will and righteous
spirit. Despite losing his memories from before he evolved into a
Micromaster, he was chosen as leader owing to his high popularity among
his teammates. With a greater hatred for evil than anyone else on the
team, he appears to be grasping for both the lost memories of his past
and the key to activating his Red Mode.
TGV-A/ATLAN
A martial artist with a supreme love of karate, Atlan's hobby is
hardening his body. He enjoys special training and never forgets to
drill. The intensity of his paired training with Ironlift fascinates
all who see it, drawing them in and not letting them go. The strength
of SixTrain's punching power can only be due to his combining with the team.
Limited Express/RAISE
Possessing a precognitive ability, Raise has saved his teammates from
tight spots countless times. Though he says very little, the accurate
decisions he makes using his ability earn immense trust from his
partners. A very early riser, he loves to watch the sun rise over the ocean.
Steam Locomotive/SAN DIEGO
An engineer by nature, he busies himself daily with the maintenance of
their Metrobase headquarters. With the help of the Build Team, he
endeavors to power up the Cybertrons with the new items he produces in
rapid succession. Deeply impressed by Earth culture, he's had an
episode in which he was going to hold a wedding ceremony with Discharge.
Yamagata Bullet Train/WINDY
Though a splendid female warrior, in fact, her mental age approximates
that of an Earthling teenage girl, and she is engrossed more with love
and gossip than battle. With her beautiful singing voice, she's the
idol of the Cybertrons. She even seems to have secret admirers among
the Destrons.
Freight Train/CONVERTOR
A historian, he is interested in Earth's history and devotes himself to
research centered on ruins around the world. Extremely well-versed in
Cybertronian history, he will offer advice to his companions using
historical facts as examples. Though he affects a youthful air, he is
the oldest of the Micromaster warriors.
Six-Part Gestalt Hero/SIXTRAIN
A combiner robot born of the fusion of the six members of the Train
Team. Though his Red Mode, which turns his whole body crimson when he
activates it, lasts only a short time, it boasts of the greatest power
of any of the Micromaster gestalt warriors. As mild a team as they
normally are, no one can hide their surprise at the complete change to
them in Red Mode.
This should be "Tokaido Bullet Train" (and I usually just leave it as
"Shinkansen" since that's how it appears in English on signs in Japan, and
it doesn't literally mean bullet train, but YMMV). There is no bullet
train that goes to Hokkaido yet, unfortunately. Oh well, there's a pretty
cheap airline, I'd just like to be able to take the scenic route next time
I'm up there.

Thnk you Doug! As ever, you are a boon to Transfandom!!!
Now, as for the story itself...
Is there a bridging story we're missing here? Or is the same case as
the last couple of stories? (As in, they're not contiguous and don't
stand as a fully-realized story by themselves?)
Fragment of the Matrix? Where'd that come from?
A PREDACON ship? Where the hell is this going...? Is this story going
to attempt some kind of connection between the Micromasters and the
Maxies/Preds, as we've all theorized?
Wow...

Whoops--quite right. Score one for the painkillers. :-)

Eh, toss-up for me. I figure the potential audience will know either,
but may be a bit more comfortable/familiar with "bullet train" vs.
"shinkansen. (That means "new trunk line," for those of you wondering.
Sensible, but not nearly as punchy as "bullet train." :-) )
> There is no bullet train that goes to Hokkaido yet, unfortunately.
They'd have to set up a special bridge or tunnel for it, I'd
wager--unless they could somehow get it to share with the existing ones.

No doubt. Going by standard train would doubtless eat up too much of
your limited vacation time.
Eh, I try. Infallible I ain't, obviously, but I try.

It looks like they sorta-kinda tie in to one another, but if there are
any episodes occuring between the stories I've translated, I've yet to
hear of them being in print or related anywhere.
> Fragment of the Matrix? Where'd that come from?
Who cares? I'm more worried about where it's going!
...sorry.

Theorize and dream all you like--it's been the source of many a grand
thread here on the group. Just keep perspective--subsequent
developments may NOT live up to your expectations. Not that I'm trying
to be a total downer; I just don't want to see another case of
speculation raising folks' hopes, only to have the actual results be
disappointing--not because the results were bad, but because they
weren't what everyone convinced themselves might happen.
Or something.
Ack. Sorry Doug, work and other demands have sucked this week. Glad you
got the Bios someplace even though I bnevr got them to you like I
promised....

The stories appear to take place linearly, but form deliberately
incomplete narratives for space reasons.
The Sixwing story ends with Sixwing getting his Berzerker mode, and the
SixBuilder story picks up weeks after that, with Sixwing having struck multiple
times.
This story begins with SixTrain attacking Sixwing while he's digging up
some shit in Oregon.
>Fragment of the Matrix? Where'd that come from?
...the Matrix?
http://members.aol.com/regenesis0/uk249.zip
A neat little story, it also appears to give a fiarly explicit answer to
something that's always bugged me. The matrix can revive someone as long as
they're on this side of the doorway into death- in a state humans would in fact
consider dead- but once they do in fact pass on it cannot.
As I 'read' the story, Desire had the matrix-fragment before he lost his
memories, so its origins are a mystery to all concerned, even him.
>A PREDACON ship? Where the hell is this going...? Is this story going
>to attempt some kind of connection between the Micromasters and the

I suspect that what's to be revealed is slightly LESS grand. They
uncovered the scrap buried in the rock on earth, in the mountain where the Ark
used ot lie. The Pred scrap appears to be a continuity refrence, not
world-building.
http://members.aol.com/regenesis0/agenda-scrap.jpg
I think they found the same piece of scrap Silverbolt and BA did.
Diego's comment that they might further their goals if able to 'match' the
metal scraps (I assume the other scrap, a hull fragment, would be from the
Axalon) to Desire's matrix-fragment is unfortunately ambiguious. Does me mean
'match' as in 'match the origin of'? Or as in to join the two together
somehow? The first might speak to the matrix-fragment's origins. The second
is more likely to cause a Transmetal Predacon powerup of SixLiner. ;-)
I loved this installment. And the cast bio's were GREAT. An Amnesiac-
matrix-wielder? A precog who (by the way he uses it int eh story) doesn't have
Dodge? Kup? A teen idol female Cybertron? The wedding with Discharge? This
is GREAT stuff.

No, I just claim ignorance of the EXTENT of their existence, as well as
doubt for their collective sanity.

That was certainly my take on it, judging from the image.

Leaves the writer(s) an out if need be, I suppose.

The verb used, "awaseru," lends itself more to the latter meaning of
adding, merging or combining. Of course, looking at the original, it
doesn't specify matching BOTH the pieces or only one to the Matrix
fragment. It doesn't specify only one, either, though, so I took the
default meaning to be both. So if the hull fragment IS from the Axalon,
wouldn't it neutralize any...uh, Predaconity (Predaconicity?
Predacon-ness?) in the other piece?
