well, mine hads no wings, no nosecone, and no tail, I guess it's pretty useless
except for the robot head. You want it?
Of course then I don't have a G2 Superion

Just as unique as everyone else.
You might want to just get a G1 Slingshot and repaint it. I have a problem
with my G2 Slingshot and I'm probably going to try to get a G1 Slingshot and do
that.
If you care to hear my tale of woe concerning G2 Slingshot, read on.
Otherwise, skip it.
I had finally gotten a G2 Silverbolt, complete and was anxious to see the G2
Superion. So of course, having all four other G2 Aerialbots, I merged them.
Looked good, but Slingshot, who was the right arm and holding the gun, was
pointing down and I figured, unless he was fighting a Micromaster that was
REALLY close, he should be pointing it forward. So naturally I turned the arm
forward....
CRACK!
The head of Slingshot snapped right off. There I was, a look of intense
anguish on my face, holding a headless Aerialbot...
I attempted to use Crazy Glue to restore him, but he ended up breaking in
ANOTHER place. GRRRRR.
This was a month or so before Botcon 2001, which I was attending. So I figured
I could get one there and I would be all set. Mine must have been defective.
So, Botcon arrives (or rather, I arrive at Botcon) figuring it shouldn't be too
hard to get a loose G2 Slingshot. I queried one dealer... no luck. The next,
no luck... in fact NO ONE had a loose G2 Slingshot. Well, I broke down and
purchase a mint on card one on the last day of the convention for around $20..
After driving 11 plus hours back to my home state of Connecticut, I didn't open
the Slingshot right away. (Those of you who keep your Transformers in packages
may not understand those of us who don't, but that's OK.. free country. In
this case, however, I may see your point.) I opened the package, removed the
Slingshot and proceeded to attempt to transform him into robot mode.
Now you may have noticed the word "attempt". Does this mean I don't know how
to transform Slingshot? NOT. I could transform him normally with my eyes
closed. However, THIS Slingshot, featuring the curse of the gold plastic,
straight out of the package... DISINTEGRATED during transformation. The legs
literally crumbled apart. He was in at least four pieces. I couldn't believe
it.
Of course, you would think with the two Slingshots I could use parts from each
to make a good one. I've fixed Transformers before, no big deal... but trying
to get the screws out of this one proved impossible. Only thing I can think of
is the grooves for the screws crumbled as I attempted to turn the screws.
So, if anyone has a G1 Slingshot, loose, doesn't have to be in perfect shape,
I'll gladly give you a couple bucks for it so I can give it to my friend at
Cybertronian Artifacts to paint (he's much better at it than I) so I can have a
quasi-complete G2 Superion.
That's my tale, the good and the bad. I hope those who hear it are forewarned
against this toy and benefit from my bad experience.
Take care,

Deal with it, Magnus.
Do you still have them? I'll take both, and with my broken shitball of a G2
Slingshot, I bet I can make at least 1 good one.
My G2 superion will bve a gimp no more!
