While this new colors certainly will compete with hasbro gift set. I'm
still getting the hasbro version due to the much cheaper price. I
don't like paying the scalper prices for anything. I'll only pay
scalper prices for for takaraka G-1 reissues & desired colored items I
really,really want like takara's version of armada tidalwave called
shockwave in proper cartoon colors.
it's a safe bet to assume,eventually Hasbro will recolor that EZ/
Legends size devestator in either G-1 Green or G-2 yellow.

from classic Devastator for me to see the point in making it
green/purple. I think the multi-color thing the first version has is
better in this case.

It's an excuse to make people spend money, maybe? You know there are
collectors who'll buy this version just because it's a "homage". Or is
that "an homage"?
Gotta admit, some of the vehicles do look a lot more like the G1
versions thanks to the new coat of paint. Maybe (in case Devastator is
a shelfwarmer) they're hoping people will buy this version rather than
the multi-coloured one? I know I would, if I had the choice.
