Only if they're beyond super poseable, though. :)
t.k.
and here I was thinking that they were remade...as Autobots...in the
Energon line, with real encephaloproctitular action.
Well, the Dou-cons never had separate robot modes or personalities for
the components. I think the closest we have had since was Magmatron,
who was effectively a Trio-con.
Gustavo!
BEFORE MAGMATRON,There was TF 1988 Takara Masterforce Overlord. who
was basically a much bigger version of the Duocons.

Ahem! I think the term should be Triplicons.
I one saw a very fun toy -- some low-profile, super-cheap Japanese
robot set called "Nine-X". It was a set of six Duocon-type robots:
three vehicles that turned into robot top halves, and three vehicles
which turned into robot bottom halves. The thing was, each of the
three top robots could combine with any of the three bottom robots.
So, there were a total of nine differnet robot formations you could
get from this set. It was pretty clever.

And then what? Penticons? Sexicons? ;-)
Well, we could always take a hint from the "Vehicle team Voltron" (aka
"Dairugger XV") and have a "15-In-1-Con"!
Heck, actually, we already have this. Pretty much. The Diaclone Multi-
Force 14 could very easily be "imported" in G1, giving us a pretty
authentic "Fourteenicon".

No, those were more kin to the Multiforce in Transformers Victory.
Heh. I STILL like to imagine that the "Spark of Combination" was, in
fact, the Spark of Landcross (the Multiforce's combiner form). In
other words, an aggregate of the Sparks of the six Multiforce members.
It just strikes me as neato.

So a simpler version wouldn't be too hard. Ditch the robot mode, put two
together to make each DuoCon.
Bonus feature: If the shirt/pants modes are both kept, each combined
NeoDuoCon would have two robot modes. Might not be feasible with the head,
though.
Double Bonus Feature: Able to retain the "mix-n-match" functionality of
the original DuoCons!
I'll admit, I was kind of waiting for the Energon Autobots to turn out to
be rigged so that any six of them could form Ener-Landcross...

Fun idea. If we ever get an updated Flywheels homage, maybe we could
get a con exclusive Overlord version of him.
