I'm actually pretty down on video reviews. I would much rather have
something that I can read in 3 minutes, perhaps pausing to look at the
pretty pictures, than something that goes plodding along for 11
minutes.
There are some things that video can capture better than text and
still images, but most of the review isn't comprised of that. Videos
of how to move the 4 different joints around each other make sense,
and could be added to text reviews, while video of someone describing
the color scheme... I could go without.
All further evidence that YouTube is destroying civilization.
The signal to noise ratio of most videos is just too low. (As an
aside, after reading Shakespeare for a year, I have found myself
unable to read novels because of all the useless words... comic books,
however, contain the same density of information)
