I can't believe there are any fans left who have never heard of
reprolabels.com before!

I think Delta Star actually started doing this on purpose because he
was getting complaints from vintage collectors who claimed that his
reproduction stickers were devaluing the older G1 stuff. I don't know
if he still does this, but for a while he was putting colored backers
on the stickers to immediately flag that they were facsimiles to help
the more discerning collectors appraise toys with reproduction
stickers.
Delta Star actually used to use me as a "sticker tester" so I could
fit the stickers to my existing toys, checking the size and colors and
such for accuracy. I'd just like to say that his stuff has come a
long, long way in even just the past few years. His early stickers
were thick and would sometimes peel off the toys, but the recent ones
he's done are incredibly thin and they adhere a lot better. All his
sets are pre-cut, too, so you don't have to fumble with scissors
anymore. (I know I sound like a commercial, but I don't make any
money by saying this, I promise. He offers such an incredible service
to fans, though. So many of my G1 toys have gone from useless junk to
beautiful display pieces, all because of him.)

I didn't know they were doing replacement parts, either. I can't find
a link anywhere on the site. Irrellius, you mentioned this was back
in 2001; do you know if they're still doing it? (I know they were
experimenting with a re-chroming laboratory for toy parts that had
lost their vac-metal sheen. I ended up with a handful of prototype
pieces but I don't think they ever went into a full-fledged
operation.)
Delta Star hooked me up with some gigantic "38" stickers for my
Alternators Smokescreen some years ago. Those were great. I've also
got copies of some of the upgrade sets, which include a special see-
through version of Starscream's stickers (for my ghost Starscream,
naturally) as well as cartoon stickers for the Combaticons (which I
designed, incidentally), and they look really good. Can't figure out
why the Vortex set hasn't been made publicly available to finish off
the team, though.
