Car Robot anime Plot Summery

plot summary from TV Tokyo's page, just to see the difference in
interpretation. First, to be fair, Katherine Christoffel's initial
translation, posted here about 2.5 weeks ago:

This is the newest production [following] the super hit SUPER LIFE FORM
TRANSFORMER: BEAST WARS. The battle has begun in CAR ROBOTS, a
Transformers [show] that one could say is returning to its roots.
Evil Transformers [known as] "Destrongers" plunge through a rift in the
dimensions and suddenly appear on present-day, 21st-century Earth.
> "I am to be addressed as Gigatron, the Iron-Armed Destronger Emperor!
I
> have arrived in this ancient world to take my place as your god."

"My name is Gigatron, the mighty emperor of the Destrongers! From this

The heroic Cybertron Commander, Fire Convoy, transforms from a fire
engine! a police car, bullet trains...they [too] transform into
robots! Pursuing the Destrongers, they scanned Earth vehicles, changed
their forms and concealed themselves.
> Gigatron kidnaps Dr. Amasaki, to discover the secrets of the universe.
> Fire Convoy promises little Yuuki, "We'll get your father back..."
Does Dr. Ohnishi, whom Gigatron has kidnapped, know the mysteries of the
universe? Fire Convoy promises young Yuuki that they will rescue his
father....
> Long before the dawn of man, the Transformers spread across the
> universe, fighting the "Great War" that would never end. The fate of
> Earth and the secrets of the universe hang in the balance. It's
> Cyberton vs Destronger in an ultimate battle, with guns blazing.
Long before the dawn of Man, the Great War, a battle between good and
evil Transformers, broke out in a distant galaxy and expanded to a
universal scale, and it has yet to come to an end. The guns in the
grand conflict of Cybertron vs. Destronger have opened fire, wiht the
fate of Earth and the mysteries of the universe at stake.
As you can see, a lot of it is nitpicky changes, and in some cases, I
kinda like her choices better. :-) Like I said, I did this pretty much
just because. If nothing else, it's a lesson in interpreting vs.
translating, and where it's best to strike a balance.
