I was putting the Maximal Language together for the font (which, BTW, is
complete and available for download from my web site)
http://www.giediprime.net/

when I noticed that there seemed to be a canononical order for the
characters. I figured out which character in Maximal represented which letter
in english and was able to read some of the text. Most were pretty typical,
(Shield Failure, scanning, Target Locked, etc) but some were quite humorous.
One in particular had me rolling on the floor! In 'Maximal No More' Dinobot
begins the episode by looking at a comparison of Megatron's outposts and the
Golden Disk. Just after this, a bunch of text appears on the left.
Translated, it reads . . (spoiler space, in case you want to translate it
yourself. Probably more amusing that way)

That should be enough . . .

The screen reads "THEY KILLED KENNY THOSE BASTARDS"

That was just too much for me.

That's funny. It reminds me of the Simpsons episode Homerł, where the
hexadecimal numbers, when translated into ASCII characters, read...

(spoiler space)

Frink rules!

That completely rules! Would you mind posting some of the other
humourous ones? You'd be a newsgroup hero of the day!

Dude, I want to see that language so bad, and be able to decipher it,
of course. But my computer doesn't want to download your page, it
just sais something like "document incompatible" or something.

If you could get this language individually on a seperate page
somewhere, I'm sure many people here would be greatful.

Well, the other ones wern't as funny, but here goes.

In Other Voices, Part 1, Rhinox and Optimus begin the episodes by watching a
display. On the left of the screen, SUITE B RULES can be seen.

In Spiders Game, Megatron is trying to get the computer working, and complains
that this is Tarantulus' job. In Predacon (which I have reordered today and
uploaded to my site) you can see the words EAT ME.

On Megatrons time-keeping device in The Coming of the Fuzors 1, you can see
the name Jeremy Miller (?) written on the device.

There may be more, I don't have every episode on tape. In both Maximal and
(as of today) Predacon, the uppercase letters are in the proper order, in
case you would like to check for some new ones yourself. Extra symbols and
rotations of the main symbols were used for lowercase letters, so don't go by
them. The numbers are correct from 1-9 for Maximal and 1-8 for Predacon.
(The maximal character for 10 was used for the 0).

That's really strange. Try this address instead.

If that doesn't work, I'll make a separate page for Maximal and Predacon. But
I am a little surprised that you would have difficulty.

I must admit that I somewhat doubted this post at first so I went to
your site and downloaded the font.

I can't belive it really works!
It really does!

Well done!!!

I'm now having fun decoding a lot of BW's writing.

I've already discovered that in "Transmutate" the writing on the screen
next to Primal in the "I'm not in the mood to lose anymore friends"
scene says "MAXIMAL SCANNING......." I can't read it all because the
boss monkey is stood in the way:)

Hows about THIS one I've just found???!!

The ep is "Double Dinobot".
The Dinobot clone is trying to deactivate Sentinel and a holographic
Maximal logo appears with writing from Sentinel under it saying.....

Bit of space for anyone offended by strong language!

"Who is this putz scally user?"

Then the shot changes to behind the projection as some more writing
appears next to a diagram of Dinobot saying.....

"Hey Ian go fuck yourself"

Someone once told me that *IAN* Corlett is the voice of Sentinel.
If this is true then is there someone on the BW's staff who doesn't like
him????

Too funny! I could only check the episodes that I have tapes for, so I
haven't checked much of the first season. Episodes I have checked (to avoid
wasting your time) are Chains of Command, The Trigger, Spiders Game, and
Other Voices. Plus most of the 2nd season and all of the 3rd season, though
there is always the chance that I missed something.

There are lots of instances of 'proper' text usage. Words like 'scanning',
'shield failure' 'target aquired' etc. A good idea when looking for funny
text is to watch for scenes where the text is big and easy to read. If it's
hidden in a corner, it's probably gibberish or perhaps just some appropriate
remark.

No, it's not. It refers to the Simpsons character Professor Frink.

Yes, Ian Corlett does Sentinel (as well as Cheetor).

No, the name of the wack-o scientist on "Simpsons" is indeed Professor Frink.
Although there have been several references to "M*A*S*H*" on OFF(Our Favorite
Family).
For example, at the begining of "I Married Marge", I believe Marge and a few of
her friends were talking about the finale of "M*A*S*H". Good-day.

Interesting. I wonder if one of the animators has some sort of grudge
against him?
