I'm a real wild card on this newsgroup. You never know what crazy thing
I'll post next.

I'm finishing up act 2 of Divide and Conquer, and Starscream has just
sent a piece of Reflector across the space bridge. These pieces don't
have names, they just are. Sometimes they speak by themselves, but more
often than not they speak in unison, as if they're of a single hive
mind.

What is interesting in this scene with Reflector is that Starscream says
"Have a nice journey, warrior." before sending him off. I found this
interesting because the sentence seems a bit odd to me. He called this
particular robot piece a warrior, when Reflector isn't much of a
fighter. Now, he can hold his own in a fight, yet I don't get a warrior
vibe from him. I get more of a surveillance and data Reconnaissance
vibe, which made me wonder why he used the word warrior.

Could it be that Warrior is that particular bot's name?

Strictly speaking, *all* the Decepticons are warriors. They're
fighting a war.

What I'd like to know is, what are the other two Reflector robots
supposed to do without their buddy? Transform into two-thirds of a
camera?

I got the impression that wasn't Reflector. He had the wrong voice, for
one thing. Do we see the 3 on Earth again after he departs? I can't
remember.

Knowing starscream, he was being sarcastic.

Sure. Reflector had lots of appearances after this one. (As for the
wrong voice, well, this was the only time that only one of the modules
spoke. Every other time, we heard them speaking in unison, so it
would be difficult to say what each of them sounded like
individually.)

There's a scene from "The Ultimate Doom" in which we see two Reflector
modules getting knocked *into* the main module, and it's accompanied
by special effects so I don't think it's just an animation error.
Maybe Reflector has the ability to generate additional robots as
needed, so the one that Starscream sent off to Cybertron was truly
expendible. (Of course, we learn that he survived the journey and was
hanging out with Shockwave for a little while, so there was nothing to
stop him from eventually going back to Earth.)

Would he feel insecure nowadays with digital cameras and phones around?
Or would he adapt his form to the times?

t.k.

Warrior is clearly a separate guy and NOT a part of Reflector. He doesn't
have Reflector's voice (he sounds like Corey Burton, nothing like Chris
Latta) and all three of Reflector are still on Earth while he's on
Cybertron.

High-end photo gear, or a reconnaissance drone, or a security camera...

Maybe he'll transform into an iPad or smart phone since thats what
people are using for cameras.

Some people still use SLR.

Maybe he could be a TV News camera....or upgrade and become the TV
News van. Since he's 3 parts, would he become a 3D camera?

Well this doesn't happen everyday... Zob, the episode you're referring to when the 2 Reflector-cons absorb into the 3rd in the same episode Divide and Conquer that the other one goes to Cybertron. In the Ultimate Doom, also, we do hear a single Reflector speak (in the same Chris Latta echo) when he is "concerned" about Dr. Arkeville's fate.

Oops, I did cite the wrong episode. My bad. (Hey, I've only had 29 years to memorize these episodes. You can't expect me to remember *everything.*)
