Hardly any ebay seller is getting the desired prices for their items.
Some ebay auctions the sellers have even a hard time getting the
retail price they originaly paid for the items in retail stores years
ago.
there's more ebay auctions ending with zero bids.
It's clearly abundant the loss of jobs in america, the recession & more
than 15% un-employed in America has taken it's toll on ebay.
It's clearly abundant there's a lot of corrupt ebay sellers. who try
to make profit off shipping cost. have friends bid on there items.
then there's those ebay sellers who take the scalping to the next
level.
I think a lot of sellers who use to buy on ebay didn't have paypal
accounts & only used money orders, cash or bank checks to pay for there
won auction items. the mere fact that ebay made it illegial for
sellers to advertise they accept money orders & illegial for buyers to
pay with money orders. had to have hurt sales for ebay.
Other hurting factors for ebay is the fact sellers can't leave buyers
negative feedback. this now means a potential buyer can blackmail the
seller by saying this & that or threaten to leave a negative.
Other things that turned both buyers & sellers away from ebay. is all
the strict laws they have on toy gun policies, bootleg toys & videos.
It seems that a lot like buying & selling on Ioffer.com because
there's zero rules & zero restrictions there. tons of Fake unliscensed
TF toys there. tons of fan copied cartoons, movies. zero fake gun toy
restrictions.
Amazon.com has also picked up steam & sales. due to ebay's weird
rules, restrictions & weird way of doing things.

I think that's changed a little bit since we're getting closer to
Christmas. A lot of people do their shopping online now and the
competition on eBay is getting fierce now. I make it a point not to
do any eBay shopping this time of year because the prices on
everything are so outrageous. (You can find some great deals starting
around December 23, though. There's not enough time to ship an item
in time for Christmas Day, so a lot of people give up bidding by this
point.)

I guess there must have been a lot of people bouncing checks or
something? It seems like going to PayPal was a move primarily
designed to benefit the sellers and prevent them from getting stiffed
by deadbeat buyers. I do think they ended up alienating buyers in the
long run, because not everyone has a bank account, which is required
to create a verified PayPal account.
There are loopholes, of course, since eBay's policy does state that
although sellers aren't supposed to advertise that they accept money
orders, they're not strictly prevented from accepting them if they
make an agreement with the seller.

Something else that's crazy is that eBay has searchword software
implemented that's programmed to police your messages to other eBay
users. A few weeks ago I was having Internet connection issues and I
missed out on an auction I planned to bid on. The auction ended with
zero bids, so I messaged the seller and asked if he was going to
relist the item or if he could sell it to me directly. I ended up
paying him with PayPal, but when the item arrived and I wanted to say
thanks, eBay kept rejecting my message, saying that it looked like I
was violating their policy. Even if it was just to say "thank you."
No matter how differently I worded the message, eBay wouldn't let it
go through. Rude.

Never heard of this other site. Thanks for letting us know about it.

Ditto. It could prove useful to me in the future (still a couple of KOs
I wouldn't mind getting).
t.k.
The armada bootleg DVD complete series impressed me the most. because
the seller used the rhino dvd version & not the Television version.
