TRANSFORMERS "SWITCHES" BACK TO ITS ROOTS IN 2001

WITH RETURN OF MEMORABLE ROBOTS IN DISGUISE

There are robots … and then there are ROBOTS IN DISGUISE! For 2001, the
original theme of the TRANSFORMERS line, that started it all – ROBOTS IN
DISGUISE – is back! OPTIMUS PRIME and the AUTOBOTS will once again battle
MEGATRON and the PREDACONS, through a product line reminiscent of the 80’s
look and an all-new kids television series that premieres on Fox Kids.

Also in 2001, watch out as OPTIMUS PRIMAL and team return to shield the world
from evil. The popular BEAST MACHINES TRANSFORMERS segment evolves into BEAST
MACHINES BATTLE FOR THE SPARK, with features that activate at the touch of the
SPARK CRYSTAL.

The 2001 TRANSFORMERS line includes:

TRANSFORMERS ROBOTS IN DISGUISE

by OPTIMUS PRIME. The AUTOBOTS have hidden their existence by taking the form

protect Earth. They are…TRANSFORMERS—ROBOTS IN DISGUISE!

Not likely. The Machine Wars tyos are full sized Basics. These are going to
be the Go-Bots repaints.

Sounds like a nw continuity to me. Thank Primus, they aren;t goign to try and
explain all the bullshit canon problemsRI would cause. And because its a new
continuity, Megs can be a Pred leader.

Ironide/Mirage is the Indy Car and Pick-Up truck, If Hasbro's as bright as I
think they are right now.

Hot Shot might be the new name for "Autofire". Makes sense.
REV (Race Evolution): maybe Eaglekiller the Ferrari.

>>W.A.R.S.
I LOVE this aconym. It allows "Wars", the coolest SpyCharger name, to make
some sense. Like Rev, its a name, and a description, I like that. He'll
probably be the stock car, lik CR's Wars.

X-Tech is likely X-Car, the Firebird.

>>SPEEDBREAKER/4-WHEEL DRIVE TRUCK.>>
Guys at te AllSpark are sugesting either Hasbro will use the unproduced GoBots
molds making a small-sized Speedbreaker (like the multi-sized Cheetors in BM),
or else this is a mistake, and these are actually the Deluxe figures mislisted.
My vote's the latter.

Quite obviously, the list is defective.,.. it cuts off in the middle of the CR
Deluxe figures, and breaks right into availability of BM Basics...

Megatron Megabolt sounds interesting... Wishing hard for a vehicle-based
Megatron... if just to put another vehicle into BM for 2001... an area that's
sorely lacking.

<<April 2001 – BLAST PUNCH OPTIMUS PRIMAL.>>

I cannot wait for him. Next to Blackarachnia, Rattrap, and Night Strke
Cheetor, I'll finally have a Maximal team I can be proud of for the first time
since BW Season 3, or Neo.
