At Walmart, there's going to be a Transformers Universe Battle Scout 2-
pack as part of the doorbuster sale from 5-11 a.m. No word on the
price point, or which characters are in the assortment, but I'm
assuming they're Scout-class toys we've already seen from Revenge of
the Fallen, packaged together in a versus format (i.e. "Ransack vs.
Nightbeat" or whatever).

I'll post an update if I can find out more.

Is there a chance this might be, for example, that two-pack with Dirt
Boss painted like the Gobot Spoons?

Here are some names and UPC codes.

TRA BATTLE SCOUT 2P ($9.00)

STORM SURGE VS. AL (UPC 6-53569-43805)
CLOKER [sic] VS. HARDTOP (UPC 6-53569-43806)

Storm Surge, Clocker, and Hardtop all saw a release as Target
exclusive redeco toys in 2007, which makes me suspect that "AL" is a
typo and that this should have been "AR" for Armorhide. I'm guessing
this is leftover stock that Hasbro couldn't fob off on Target so they
bundled 'em together into two-packs and sold the rest to Walmart.

I was hoping for some interesting redeco toys along the lines of
Renegade Fracture and friends, so this is slightly less exciting news
than I'd originally hoped. Oh, well.

Stuff like that 'is' coming, just not these. Red Baron Ransack! Spoons
Dirt Boss!

That's a shame, I could use a new AL.

Hmm. Looks like the same decos as the Target exclusives. Is this the
first time that Transformers were exclusives to two different stores
with nationwide distribution?

Also, it looks like they have gone from the Movie to the Universe line
-- I'm curious to see the bios on the back, to see if they have tied
them into G1.

Gustavo!

I doubt it, though I can't think of any other examples.
