Shockwave fanart?

I take part in a comic blogging event called "Friday Night Fights",
where the guy running it gives us themes for a tournament and we come up
with 12 fights that match the theme. Well, I usually get a Shockwave
appearance in these tournaments, which actually started by accident.

However, the current theme, "Fists of Fury", keeps me from doing that,
because none of the Shockwave fights I remember in the comics ended with a
mighty kick. So I've had him as MC for my articles as a way of "paying back"
Spacebooger (the current coordinator of the game). And I've had a picture of
Shocky in each article. For the first six I used toy or box art pictures,
but I want to use fan art for these final six. I used the Lil Formers
Shockwave already, so that's five fanart pieces I have left.

Finding Shockwave fanart hasn't been easy. Anyone know of some good
ones? I give full credit and a link to the full sized pic (I only post a
head shot) in the article.

Here's one I did on commission about a million years ago:

I like that. It's pretty good. :)

Here's one I did years ago: http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Labyrinth/5770/wave.html

Take it if you like it; it won't be up for much longer.

I was able to get it in time, and I may use it this week. How do you
want to be credited?

And thanks to Zob and DVD, too. I'll probably be using those (at least the
limo in DVD's case) in future installments.

I put up the first of the suggestions (http://wp.me/plMrm-RC), if anyone
wants to see it in action.

You could do an image search for レーザーウェーブ (Laserwave) and get one or
two Japanese fanarts.

Seeing as I'm wrinting at least part of the articles as Shockwave, I'm
not sure he wants to see himself as a cosplay girl, and I think the Robot
Heroes bit in an earlier entry might have been pushing my luck. :) (Not
surpisingly, he's a "Lil' Formers" fan, so I excaped that one unscathed.)

And this time I used DVD's, and threw in a sidejoke on top of it. (I wonder
if he's heard it yet.)

And if you all would, could you take part in the voting phase of the Friday
Night Fights? You don't even have to vote for me, but look at the entries
and vote for someone! (Your favorite kick, preferably.) Last week had so few
voters it was sad. You don't have to register with anything or have your own
entry. Just find your favorite and vote. Link's in the article, and you have
until 6PM ET Sunday. Thanks for your support.

Is there anyone who does not want to see Japanese Cosplay Girls
dressed as them? Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and all
that.

Gustavo! (and then there is the possibility to make out with
yourself... which Skockwave would lack the lips to enjoy)

Trust me, nobody wants to see a Cosplay girl dressed as me. :)

Now you scare me...

The last of the Shockwave fanart (which means I'm one short), "donated"
by Zobovor.

http://wp.me/plMrm-TG

And I did this week's "Saturday Night Showcase" (I set Saturdays aside
not just for fan and "official" comics and videos I like, but ones that I
think everyone should see, especially but not only if they inspire me one
way or another)

http://wp.me/plMrm-TN

And I do with you'd all check out the other Friday Night Fights entries
and help with the voting. We've been kind of small lately. (And I don't just
mean vote for me...although feel free...I mean read all the entries and vote
for your favorite, mine or not.)

Sorry, promoted the Showcase without telling what was in it, the
Macromasters comic. I wish it had a better host site, what with the badly
placed ads and pages missing.

Ted Turner. Heh heh heh heh. That's funny.

I don't really understand the voting process. Where do we actually go
to vote? Is there a button that you can click, or do you actually
have to fill out the form and type the name of the candidate you're
voting for?

All you do is make a comment for your choice, like any blog response.
Just look at the comments section. (Voting ends at 11pm ET--I
believe--Sunday, though.) I was in character as part of the narritive (which
will be over soon, next week being the last round of this tournament and
only one follow-up to remind people to vote for the Grand Champion of the 12
rounds where I'll conclude Shockwave's hosting duties), but he knows it's me
by now.

In case anyone was wondering what happened to this bit, I was sick
during the final round of the Friday Night Fights, so I didn't even take
part. I do plan on posting that entry anyway, as well as the conclusion of
the Shockwave narritive that I weaved into the tournament. However,
Spacebooger is hosting a "Grand Championship" of the 12 "Feet of Fury"
rounds, which I'm proud to say I made it into with Round 2. (Although I
think my Round 12 entry had a good shot of making it in as well.)

In the hopes of increasing voter turnout, I would like all so-minded
ATTers to head to the tourney page:
http://www.spacebooger.com/index.php/2009/12/04/fnf-feet-of-furys-greatest-kicks-prize-fight/#comments

and vote for your favorite. (And if your favorite happens to be
Spider-Man and Batman taking on Carnage and the Joker in a story edited by
Bob Budiansky, I won't complain. :) ) Just add your comment with your
winner. You can see the full entry by clicking on the picture (clicking the
name just brings you to our websites), but you have until Friday at 4pm ET.

Again, this Friday I'll be posting the entry I WOULD have had for round
12 and the conclusion of the Shockwave narritive. And I promise to fit
Transformers into every tournament I can in the future.

According to the note, it was sometime prior to 4/11/96,
actually. ;-)

- Shin Hibiki (The fact that it has taken me almost a year and a half
to be able to follow up to this post should give you some idea of the
condition of my basement. And my color version is awesome, so nyaa
nyaa nyaa.)
