The rumor appears to be true. I received this email from HobbyLink Japan:

Thank you very much for your order. Unfortunately we have received word
from the manufacture for the following product that the release of this
item(s) has been indefinitely postponed. No new release date has been
set at this time.

Item: Takara Tomy Broadcast operating USB HUB (TKT34244)

That's too bad as it was a pretty clever update for the character that
stayed relatively true to his alt mode (vs. UNIV2 Blaster). Also, I
know a lot of people were really looking forward to it.

In spite of this, one of the hobby magazines just released has a date of
Spring 2010 released. While there is of course a deadline for getting
information to publications like that, making the information
necessarily somewhat older, Spring 2010 is a significant delay from Dec.
2009, and could be considered a cancellation to be re-solicited later.

So, little glimmer of hope there, still.

That's a pity. I'm not sure that I would have bought him, but it was a
very fun idea.

HLJ also cancelled the mouse Grimlock, etc orders. It might still show
up in the spring.
The mouse mold wasn't declared cancelled anywhere else was it?

No, it's still up there:

They're just not taking any more pre-orders

Sad. But I'd got the feeling most people weren't interested, seeing as
how expensive he was for a USB hub. Mind you, I still feel that way
about Ravage, even as I hoard pennies in the hope of buying him.

Yes. I received the cancellation for the mouses and Blaster in one
email from them.
They often have dead stock still listed in the site.

Well, my Grimlock order was never canceled and is still listed on my
account as on order.

I never did order Trypticon so I don't know about him.

Bummer, I kind of wanted one. Not to wild about the price, but planned/
hoped to buy one eventually.

That's really odd because they did cancel mine for him...

That's really weird. I'd e-mail them and see what's up if I were you.

Mice are still listed on the site:
http://www.hlj.com/product/TKT34243
http://www.hlj.com/product/TKT34868

But Blaster/Broadcast/Broadblast isn't listed anywhere.
