I don't know about enamel, probably kind of shiny, but I painted one with
acrylics, coated it with dull coat and it turned out fine.

I haven't done it, I plan to one day on a broken tail Comanche. When I do, I'll be sure to sand it really well, prime it, shoot the
paint and apply a cover coat of matte finish.

That should take the scuffing and roughing pretty well.

Other than hot laquer, I'd say the paint is of your choosing.

Exactly what i did, i found a broken tale pale horse 6$ (i think
palmino but not sure). A friend of mine has one in perfect shape.
Maybe i'll try to mould his tail, or maybe i'll simply go with
doll hair to redo the tail and the mane. Has anybody tried to
sand down the molded mane or is the plastic too thin to do that?
I've check the one of my friend pretty closely and there is sure
a lot of mould line to sand down, and a lot of filler to do. ANy
recommendations on fillers y

Hello - I am not an expert at painting, but I believe that if you're not sure
if paint will take to the plastic, you can add an acrylic clear coat before you
paint. Good luck. G
