The Cowboys didn't play so it wasn't really a Superbowl.

Yeah, with the Steelers out of the game, it was time to go shopping with
Mel. Sadly, I discovered that my only Tuesday Morning within 90 miles
is no longer in existence.

But I did find a Heroscape board game for under ten bucks at K Mart.

OK, challenge to you Cowboy fans....

Why do you like the Cowboys...and you can't say "because I do". You
have to give an explaination as to why they are your favorite team.

SO easy for me. I'm a native Texan, born the same year as the Cowboys
(1960) and raised in Austin on a steady diet of my entire extended
FAMILY sitting in front of our B&W console TV watching da boys evolve
into the premier national powerhouse team. Over the years, they've
gone to EIGHT Superbowls and won FIVE.

Bottom line, my blood runs blue and silver. We made that drive up I35
to Big D many times to watch Coach Landry, Roger Staubach, Dorsett,
Too Tall, Aikman, Emmitt Smith and all the others crush opponents on a
regular basis.

Oh, and the CHEERLEADERS rule all too. See? EASY.

All that said, the Houston Oilers and now the Houston Texans are mere
passing fancys IMO. And we don't like current 'Boys owner Jerry Jones.
He's creepy and makes a lot of dumb decisions.

The end was fantastic though...
I didn't pay attention and when the pats went to 14, I figured the
scoring was about to take off....

But man, Romo and Co might as well been playing on that last drive.
And the busted Sack with the miracle catch? Destiny.

Damn, Football is over.

1971 Got a Cowboys sweatshirt (called hoody by the tadpoles these
days) from my cousin. Got a football for christmas at the same time.
The football was a "signed" Roger Staubach, and the box talked about
his hiesman NAVY career. That did it.

Can't get better than that.

That was a hoot back in the day.
But the chick, Bambi whatchmathingy, claimed to be a cowgirl at one
point, and then they retracted that, cause she wasn't.

We have the Oiler/Titans.
I hate them.

I remember when Tom was fired. a sad day in history.

But, for all the bad decisions, Jones makes some mighty fine ones too.

did we need Deon? nope, but he he sure helped.
Did we T.O. (esp after the Star incident?) must have, he came came
alive this year. Did we need to trade Hershal walker? LOOK WHAT that
got us!!!! and then we got Hershal back anyway!!!!!!

At Big D, there might be awsome coaches, but Jerry pulls the strings
and has the cash.

Aaaah, now I'm a communist. No I hate football. Can't stand it....just
like baseball...its either destroyed by the fans (in my case for
football) or its destroyed by the players (in this case baseball). My
first and last football game I was at a Patriots game in Foxboro when
I was 12. They were playing the Bengals. I was cheering on the Bengals
because they were a cool team. Anyway, 3 guys in front of our group
turned and told my dad to shut me up. He looked at me and then at them
and told me to stand on the seat to cheer even louder. One piece of
shit turned and told my dad if I wasn't shut up I was going to be
tossed off the top of the stadium which we were sitting 10ft
from...Football sucks.

I helped my best friend coach a little league team. After the big
baseball players strike in 1994 our team received a letter from the
state telling us that because we had the name of a major league team
we had to either pay a fee of 25$ a shirt for licensing or change the
name...We changed the name.....Baseball sucks!

I can tell you 2 exact incidents about Dale Earnhart and Hoser Consaco
that happened at 2 different places years apart too.

Sooooooo before you even JOKINGLY call me a commie remember those 2
stories and the fact that I RETIRED from the military...

Tanker.....who doesn't mind treadhead but will NOT tolerate the title
commie....

DAVE? Davvvveeeee?

Notice the part that says " Now at least I know you're NOT a
communist" ?

It was a jab at your football fan status, not your political status.
I have never accussed you of anything along those lines. Chill.
And respond to your email......;-)
