Great progress has been made in the past few weeks on completing the
Colonial Marine accessory gear. To date, several items have made the
transition from first run samples to finished prototypes. These items
will be used to make master molds.
Leg Armor Done
Tracker Done
Binoculars Done
Helmet Done
Flamethower Done
These items are still under construction.
Chest Armor: Half done. Will have it finished in one week.
Pulse Rifle: Half done. Working on barrel and grenade launcher
modifications.
Codpiece Armor: Not started.
Shoulder Light: Half done.
Other items under construction (for show).
Field Computer / Communications unit.
M56 Smart Gun
These accessories are being made to fit the new Classic bodies only.
In an effort to keep the accessories from looking "toyish" all body
armor is being made to fit close. Tolerances will be close.
Pitchers of the prototypes will be on the Net in two weeks after the
chest armor is finished. At that time, you will be notified and given
the address to see the pitchers and read how the pieces were made.

John, this is *so* cool! good luck to you! So, you gonna get one of those
Mediacom Aliens to go with it?
In case it never made it to this group, Mediacom in Japan has done an
Alien figure sculpted on a Combat Joe body..it's not a costume, it looks
like they took a Joe body, sculpted the necessary detail onto it, then
made a new mould...
it's pretty darn cool looking, and has what looks like CC Joe poseability.
No, I don't have one, at ¥9,800 (around $95.00 US) it's a bit out of my
range, and most of the places that will be importing it will scalp it at
around $200....
On the Pulse Rifle, the Assualt weapon that comes with the AM Snowboarder
is pretty close, design-wise..wouldn't take a lot of effort to modify it
and go from there..it also would give you seperate magazines, which might
be cool...
You know, this is such a Natural thing for Ken/Bro to produce, I don't
know why they haven't thought of it..heck, if they can cram HoF bodies
into Star Wars costumes, why not Aliens?
Ahhhh, John's will look better anyway.
Keep us informed!

check it out! Now even better than before!
It's a costume and it's made of glossy dark grey rubber. The Joe body is a
black (and I mean pitch black) one. The Alien head replaces your normal Jo
head while the feet are actually shoes! The Predator's pretty cool too.

This sounds EXCITING!!!!!! I've been planning on making my own with an AM
Laser Force Accesories, but haven't been able to get a hold of one yet.
Is this going to be sold to the public? I hope not for an arm and a leg
like the other custom suppliers.
You can also buy the 10th Anniversary Aliens figure (comes combined with
a Predator figure) that is 10 inches tall, but its actually about 13
inches if it werent in a crouch. It's almost to scale.
If anyone has a Laser Force Action Man, loose or otherwise, please e-mail
me. I have an AA BoB Joe, one AA SAS, one AA Desert Storm, and an AA
Target General I can trade for your Laser force.
OK, thanks for the info, Jose..but I have to ask, do you actually have one?
I'm not flaming you, it's just reading the Kanji in the ad in the 7/96
B-Club no mention is made that the Alien is a costume...and looking at the
full page full color ad, it's really hard to see how it could be...the way
the joints are exposed, the sharpness of the detail...now, the ad for the
Predator *does* mention the costume stuff, so I know that's not a lack of
information there...
Was there an earlier Mediacom Alien? this new one came out in August..
OTOH, they did a Mazinger Z costume for the anime line......that's a big
bunch of vinyl to wrap around a Joe...
I dunno, if you got a Mediacom Toy Alien, how about a detailed
review/discription? Might be fun...
