I had been hoping that BBI would release a Iraqi Freedom British
soldier, but I am very unhappy to see this...
This, to me, is like Dragon's release of their "Kit Carson" figure...The
figure is awesome, fully kitted out, and I think would sell very well as a
general release, but instead, it is limited to 500 sets, and the cost is
double.
The French Foreign Legion, and Soviet Spetznaz figures would have been
much better suited as "Custom Craft" releases.
And now, I'm sure that BBI will not wish to alienate their "Custom
Craft" customers by releasing another British trooper with the same basic
setup...
Oh well, perhaps Dragon will fill the niche....

I get the feeling that the gear set is not so much BBI, but more of kind of
an offshoot from one of their design teams. They use BBI figures and gear
as a template, but incorporate other gear and camo patterns that BBI has not
used. Case in point, their Special Forces Tiger Stripe Series. The basic
figure was the Special Forces figure from last year, but with desert and
green Tiger Stripe Unis with Chest Rigs that I've never seen offered by BBI.
It's kind of a blend between the HK Custom Houses and BBI. Don't get me
wrong, I'd love to have seen BBI come out with this figure, but I just don't
know if that will happen...
