Hey guys, been a long time... I remember when Trip would do the bulk
buys for us if anyone remembers that... Who is here from those times?

This place still means something to lots of Joeheads.

I'm still here, but just lurking. Still got my Joes in my Joe room but
haven't made any purchases in a while. Sad to see the group less active
than it was in the old days. I started frequenting the group back in the
early to mid 1990's, I was there at the beginning of the R Brown era, have
the Sandbox exclusive Submarine figure, I even received a death threat from
Thor... a badge of honor in my opinion. I've lapsed in my visits and posts
in the past few years so I guess I'm at much at fault as anyone for the
decline of the group but I'm glad it's still here.

I drop in from time to time. I have been wondering how Der Furer is handling all this news about Chik-fil-a though.

I think that was just before my time, though I've been around since,
what, 1999?

Still here, though I usually read other groups, since activity has dropped.

I know, a self-fulfilling cycle...

The action is with the Club right now. They just released a limited
edition Stealth AT Joe for $35.00, and they sold out in just a few days.
Luckily I got in there early.

Sean.

I poke my head in here every once in a while, but have been in "lurk" mode now for many years. I still have all of my vintage, Masterpiece, and Timeless Joes,as well as a good number of the CC guys, dressed in custom uniforms. A lot has changed for me in the past 12 years, but I will never get rid of my Joes. They mean too much to me, and they bring back too many good memories of time spent hanging with other Joe Heads in the Sandbox and Zang's Chat. I know lots of people are at other Joe gathering places now, but the Sandbox will always be my "Joe Duty Station" on the Internet.

Hey, I remember! (wow, a few brain cells are still functional?) Those were fun times, with a chock-full nutsack of Sandbox camaraderie (props to THOR). It's a shame that Usenet vanished and the hobby got so fragmented. I miss the old days of Tripwire, Action City-- back when there was a reason to bother with full-bore customizing.

For a trip down memory lane, I've got most of the 1998 (Second) Sandbox Halloween Contest archived here: http://jbwid.com/tripod/gijhw98.htm

(Man... I dug up one of my old ME Joes the other day and was shocked to see that he's got SHORT LEGS!)
