Subject: [huffsantacruz] Boulder Creek residents coordinating attack
on homeless people
NOTE TO READER: The "unsavory element" that has "taken over benches
and barbeques" are admittedly "transients" who are (illegally) camped
nearby. This is more of the Sentinel's villification of homeless
people without interviewing a single "transient" or homeless
advocate. At the end of the article, the "solution" presented is "an
ongoing conversation with the board, the neighbors, and the
Sheriff's." Note that homeless people have no voice, no
representation, and no consideration that they have no legal place to
live, and hence, wind up in public spaces like parks. Barbeques are
an obvious legal way homeless people can cook food, but Sentinel
writer, Gwen Mickelson characterizes their use of pubic facilities as
a "takeover." The Sheriff quoted in the article cites alcohol abuse
as the problem, a substance sold nearby by downtown merchants. A
brief reference is given to the "just 21 crowd" but the focus of the
article is not on them---it is on the "menace" of homeless people, and
how to arrest and remove them from sight. ---Becky Johnson of HUFF

Boulder Creek residents fight to 'take back park'

-----End Forward-----
Ok, if you want my opinion here it is:
Send the homeless alcoholics and drug addicts back to the states and
countries where they came to California from.
Make those other states put up the housing for them, not us.
They're 33 per cent of the problem, making life miserable for the rest
of us. (34 per cent for illegal aliens and 33 per cent for middle
class migrants).
Such a lame newsgroup one is forced to answer ones own poasts.
