Man Accused of Exposing Himself at High School Track
A man arrested at East Detroit High gave people using the school track a
reason to run a little faster. He says that he was just working out, but a
number of women claim that he was exposing himself.
In the evening people come to the track to walk around and get some
exercise. But Thursday, witnesses say one man was doing more than
stretching.
The man, 35, who lives with his mom and dad, is accused of some pretty
indecent exposure. Witnesses say he road his bike to the track field at East
Detroit High, then began rolling around in the grass, fondling himself and
exposing his private parts to women, including a 13-year-old girl.
"They were able to talk to three women victims who were still at the track.
The women identified the subject as the person who had exposed and fondled
himself in front of them while they were walking around the track," said
Det. David Ernalt, Eastpointe Police
Then Eastpointe Police say they made an interesting discovery inside a small
bag attached to his bike. They found women's underwear, and police say he
has a history of driving under the influence and is still on probation for a
breaking and entering conviction. That was a factor in the judge's decision
on his bond, which was set at $15,000.
"He states he was drinking, he was at the track just stretching out,
drinking and riding his bike in the area," Ernalt said.
The detectives say it is unclear just where the women's underwear came from.
