I talked to my almost three year old daughter for the first time in nearly a
year. It was a slightly coherent conversation, well as coherent as you can
get with someone her age.

She told me that she was eating "bunny bubbles". In all earnest though she
was simple blowing them. She told me that she had opened everyones christmas
presents for them.

I laughed and kept thinking "I am speaking with perfection, this is what a
conversation with god would be like."

I wanted to die afterwards. With her voice still ringing in my ears and the
thought of her living over a thousand miles away. With someone else being
her father.

Kwitcherbitchin, Dad. You talked with her.

Don't tell me you weren't a fuck-up in this embroglio.

Hug your small mercies.
