Re: the Sunflowers post on the meaning of the flowers in the Six of Cups...

Today, I was leafing through a book I own of famous religious paintings,
looking for angelic symbolism. I came across The Resurrection by Carl Bloch.
It shows Christ emerging from a tomb, clothed all in white - fairly standard.
What caught my eye was at his feet. White flowers at his feet also emerged
from the tomb in abundance. Most of these flowers had five points (although I
could point out two with six). The three most prominent of the flowers with
five points looked quite like the flowers in the cups on the Six of Cups that
spawned so much discussion.

Just thought I'd toss that out, since everything from nightshade to stars of
bethlehem have been mentioned. I'll have to check exactly what kind of flower
it was in the painting - I'm no good at that sort of thing, and can never do it
by eye unless I have something to compare it to.
