*
Quatrain II-52 is part of a small group speaking of the
circumstances of the unintended nuking of the Aegean Sea, on
March 11, 2012. The quatrain and its solution follow:
*
--------------- C E N T V R I E___S E C O N D E. -------------
----------------------- (édition de 1555) --------------------
*
*
An approximate translation into modern English, with asterisks
between words no longer used or spelled thus: 'The very stupid
Russian Atom shall "kill Riga", so silly error of March XI of
Year Twelve, as my *prophecy* about the Aegean Sea shall not be
*believed* by a hundred thousand Greeks killed there.'
*
That one is to be tested very soon.
*
Quatrain IX-83 had been understood as referring to an episode of
World War II, i.e. the German attack of May 10, 1940, upon
Belgium, The Netherlands, and France. I came upon two solutions
to these four anagrams, the first set entirely devoted to the
Shoah; the second, as expected, speaking of some of the
circumstances of the unintended destruction of Paris. Problem,
the second speaks of my own discovery of it, so... it does not
count! :-)
*
Here they are :
*
--------------------- C E N T V R I E__I X -------------------
------------------ (édition prétendue de 1568) ---------------
*
------------------------- L X X X I I I. ---------------------
--------- Sol vingt de taurus si fort terre trembler. --------
--------- Le grand theatre rempli ruinera, -------------------
--------- L'air,ciel & terre obscurcir & troubler, -----------
--------- Lors l'infidelle Dieu & fainctz voguera. -----------
*
Its first solution:
*
------------------------- L X X X I I I. ---------------------
--------- Les SS du Germain Adolf Hitler torturent -----------
--------- le Grand Peuple d'Israël, A. Hitler ----------------
--------- le Terrible leur iettant un sort horrible ----------
--------- lors que la France lui devient si fidelle. ---------
*
An approximation in modern English: 'The SS of the *German* Adolf
Hitler torture the Great People of Israel, A. Hitler-the-Terrible
*casting* upon them a terrible fate *when* France becomes so
faithful towards him.'
*
The second solution:
*
------------------------- L X X X I I I. ---------------------
--------- Mes vers seront fort bien traduicts lettre ---------
--------- par letre par mon très cher Claude -----------------
--------- La Trémouille, car le terrible Oracle est ----------
--------- fidellement trouué si loing de la France. ----------
*
An English approximation: 'My poems shall be very well
*translated* letter by *letter* by my very dear Claude *La
Trémouille*, as the terrible Oracle is *faithfully* *found* so
*far* from France.'
*
When deciphering this one, I noticed that Nostradamus was not
using the same spelling for the word 'letter' in line 1 as he was
in line 2. Both spellings are used by Nostradamus in his original
texts.
*
As to my name, spelled completely out of two distinct anagrams,
its separation in two parts (a former French custom) is no longer
practiced today. But it facilitates the encipherment, as every
word may not lack more than one letter; the longer the word, the
more difficult it is to get all of its letters except one.
*
As to his use of the term 'translated', he calls the process of
turning his poetry into prose a translation. I have always
preferred to call it a decipherment, or a decryption.
*
Have a nice day, folks!
