I'm sorry to have to pass on the news that Michael F. Yoder, PhD,
formerly of Intermetrics, DEC (Tops-10/20), and Caltech, died last
week. The funeral is Saturday.
I will never forget how MFY enjoyed reading advanced math texts over
lunch, or how he wrote code so fast it seemed like you were just
watching a window scroll, or how you could always tell when he was
deep in thought because he started endlessly flipping his pen...

Subject: Memorial Service Notice
Michael Franz Yoder passed away suddenly on November 26th
(Thanksgiving), Aged 56. He will be missed by his Family and Friends.
A long time professional Computer Programming Engineer, he was also an
avid musician, previous SCA member, Commedia dell'Arte performer,
Roleplaying & Computer Gamer, APA Author, Science Fiction Fan and
Collector.
He is survived by his brothers, Daniel, David, Paul and Gary, who live
outside the Massachusetts Area.
A memorial service for family members and friends is being held for
him on Saturday December 5th at 2:30 pm. This will be at the Brown &
Hickey Funeral Home, 36 Trapelo Road in Belmont Massachusetts.
In lieue of flowers, donation can be sent to Sterling Animal Shelter,
17 Laurelwood Road, Sterling MA 01564. Please reference Michael Yoder
in the memo of the check.
