My computer is a Dell E510. I"m using the monitor that came with it - flat screen but square. It seems all the web pages and even programs I use are too large horizontally and vertically to fit the screen. I'm ready for one of those wide screen monitors. Finally got around to installing Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium on my Inspiron 1750. Booting from the Dell-branded upgrade DVD, I selected "custom install" and chose to wipe the previous Windows partition to enable a clean install; all this nonsense about giving existing directories an .old extension is too messy for my tastes.... more »

I have a Dimension 9200 which is about three years old now. In the last year or so I've noticed that sometimes the USB ports will appear to forget that something is plugged into them. My greatest fear is keystroke logging. How can I turn off/disable, per below, the API's that allow the keyboard to be turned into a controller? Monitor warranty

Something I have been pondering on with monitors. I purchased a Samsung monitor in January 2007 which, as with many monitors, had a 3 year manufacturers warranty. That warranty was from day 1. Their was a time when Dell supported pre-installed software for 30 days but now it is officially 0 days. I am not talking about 'how to' questions, I am talking about functionality problems/errors with the software not doing what it is supposed to do.
