I Got a new refurbished linksys modem ($27 delivered from Buy.com). I got tired of paying Charter's rental fee. PIECE OF CAKE. Took 2 minutes max to install. I did then have to call Charter to have them register the new MAC address. At first it didn't work but then we just reset the router and the modem.... more »

Auto shutdown after boot up when nothing is done

When I start a Dell computer I often wish to do something else while waiting for the boot process to finish. If I forget to come back within 2 minutes, the computer will shut down. Over again ..... How can you avoid this time-out feature? There is nothing about it in the bios - neither in XP's control panel.... more »

After watching Dell's prices for a while, I was just about to order an XPS 9000 with a Core i7 950. All of a sudden, it's not an option any more. (It was there the day before I decided to order!) The 8000 isn't quite powerful enough and the Extreme processors and Alienware are TOO much. The 950 would have been just what I wanted.... more »

Hi all I need to check my power supply on a Dell dimension 8100. I think I may fried it.
