Windows 7 with a new PC from Dell

So I was on the Dell website scoping out a new PC. I'm looking at a Vostro
220. As of 1/1/10, it comes with Vista and for extra $$$$, I can get
Windows 7. What's the deal with this? Isn't Windows 7 the default now?

If Dell has computers in inventory pre-loaded with Vista, then they come
to you with Vista. You think Dell is going to spend all the time and
money installing Windows 7? Nope. HPaq won't either. Nor will Lenovo.
Nor will any other name brand manufacturer. I won't either.

Betcha Dell has plenty of inventory sitting around... Ben Myers

I see many if not most systems that are offered with Win 7. What system are
you considering?
