Have you guys had a chance to check out this yet?

Looks pretty good to me. I like the fact that it comes with built-in
Wifi which evidently, not all desktops are equipped with.

Have you guys checked this out yet?

Have a nice weekend!

The problem I see with the Zino is that if you repaint the room where
you use it, the Zino would no longer fit the decor of the room. It goes
very well in a room with contemporary modern decor, but would appear out
of place in a New England colonial home, French provincial room, or a
medieval castle. I think there is a potentially strong market for
selling plastic skins for the exterior of the case, so that if you
redecorate or move, you can change the color to harmonize with the
colors of its new environment.

I may be old-fashioned, but basic black goes with everything.

I predict strong Zino sales in California, Nevada, Arizona, and Florida,
but not in any of the retirement communities in those states. Would
also sell well in Alaska if equipped with an optional USB space
heater... Ben Myers

it is astounding that dell bad dell has become at taking cues from others.
this product is clearly intended as a competitor to the mac mini. but the
mac mini is a stackable unit. this one has a crowned top that prevents
stacking and a power button on the top that also prevents stacking. the mac
mini has matching external hard disk that match the form factor exactly and
is stackable. the mac mini has a matching wireless router (the airport)
that is also stackable. does dell even think about the big picture anymore
and the related sales to their products? do the really envision someone
purchasing this thing with a western digital's odd shaped mybook sitting on
one side of it and a even stranger looking linksys wireless router on the
other?
somebody asked about pricing... it does seem to start at about half the
price of the mac mini but seems like you get what you pay for in terms of
performance and design. remember, you can run windows on the mac.

Can you run Windows natively? That is..... JUST windows
on it?

yes, since 2006. look for boot camp to load windows so that it boots as the
sole os. or look for application software like parallels that allows
windows to run natively within a window inside of osx (but actually running
natively on the intel core 2 duo processor and not some software emulation).
windows 7 is not yet supported by boot camp afik (just vista and xp), but
hear it will be supported by boot camp by the end of the year. boot camp
essentially slip streams all the necessary drivers and makes installation of
windows very easy (way easier then reinstalling windows on a dell from
scratch), very much like the dell quick start cds that come assists with
installation of windows on poweredge servers.

This uses AMDs equivalent of Intels Atom. The CPUs are
roughly equivalent of a 2800 GHz Pentium.

I know it's just a typo, but boy would I love to have that for a CPU!

It would run so hot that it would belch flames. Or maybe it would be
freon-cooled... Ben Myers
