I need to check my power supply on a Dell dimension 8100. I think I may
have fried it. I inadvertently pushed on a power connector to a hard drive
while I had the computer was on, it arced slightly and went dead. If the
supply is bad I am going to take a chance on a replacement $25.00. If it
good then it may be my motherboard.
I can't remember which two pins on the connector to jump to activate it.
If anyone can help I really would be thankful. A drawing or web site would
be great also. He he he
Thanks John B
The Dell web site should have the service manual for the Dimension 8100.
Also, what the pins used for is often marked on the board itself.
I don't have any Dimension 8100s or Precision 330s (same basic system
layout) any more... Ben Myers
