My Acer netbook w/XP has changed. 1. It now does some kind of scan or something when it returns from stand-by or hibernate or shutdown, etc. A line appears that shows a propeller made of | / - \ spinning, preceding by a few "....". The time I have to wait is annoying, but does not seem to cause a problem.... more »

Hi, I have get repeated beeps when I install 2gigs of extra ram on my 2/4 ram slots. I'm running and Aspire E380 and it seems I need to update my BIOS but I can't find any information on the internet regarding how to do this.

can someone please answer me this ... i have an acer travelmate 4600, it still has the hidden partition a d drive & the cd/dvd drive. its running xp pro with 2 x 512 mem cards. i bought it second hand & whoever installed the software on it could not have used the hidden partition. the reason is non of the 4 applications... more »
