3 1/2 years ago I bought a 19" Acer monitor. Then it started going black. I would turn it off and on again and it would work for a while.
After this going on for a few days, it finally would go black right after the Acer logo.
Shouldn't it have lasted longer than 3 1/2 years?

I am trying to install more RAM to an Acer Aspire T180 but have got into the situation where the display shows the Acer log and the famous message Hit Del to enter the Bios or F12 to configure the Startup. I have a TravelMate 6292 running under Win7 Pro (upgraded from Vista Pro). I recently tried to link to it with a bluetooth enabled phone, but discovered I was having difficulties. Not sure if this is an active newsgroup. Have a Acer 1524WLMi which I've had for about 6 years. Works great, except for one thing. I've set up a BIOS password.
