Subject: How to open the Travelmate 243LC
I'm having boot problems wioth my Acre Travelmate 243LC.
When it was in guarantee I had a similar problem (when I press the
power button it starts up and almost immediately closes down again -
sometimes it goes into an unending start/stop loop) and I know the
last time it was because of a bad connection (dirt) around the startup
button.

I'd like to open up the laptop and see if I can solve this myself
(have ample experience with desktops but next to nothing with
laptops).

Any instructions on how to open the casing are very welcome - so far I
have removed all the screws from the back cover plus the ones under
the battery, but although the front part separates the back part
(closer to the screen) doesn't. I must be missing something...

Thanks in advance.

Jetro
