Acer Aspire 1692 WLMI CPU upgrade is it feasible to go for the highest CPU (I think 2.3 MHz?) on this laptop? The present 1.73 is a bit to "hot" when working hard up to 80C degree. This is very hot CPU at work. This occured just recently under heavy load. TIA

My new Extensa 7220 has a bluetooth switch on the front but does not seem to do anything. I have even attached a bluetooth dongle but the switch is still unresponsive. We have a few Acer's in our environment. they all come loaded with their standard recovery software that gets activited by pressing Alt-F10. Could someone tell me where to find a firmware update or fix for the "Toshiba DVDWHD TS-L802A", the DVD recorded doesn't work so well? I can't find anything.. and the recored failes many times the data verification or the record.. Thanks in advance, Mhaxx

Whilst browsing the web I must have knocked against the middle pad on my Laptop and now the middle button is refusing to work. The Acer website doesn't seem to support my 7220 and definitely not its touchpad. Is there a shortcut to re-enable the middle button. TIA Robin

i have an aspire 5002,512 mem 60 gig hd xp pro, on the back of the laptop i have an external display port, it says i can connect a monitor, lcd projector to it. can i connect it up to the television or is it just for lcd/monitors. zack

I have a STRC-100 remote for my ACER laptop and can't seem to get it working... Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get it going please. It is an infrared remote and I have an ACER 5920g laptop, not even sure if the IR on the laptop is working??? Thanks in advance Andy

I recently upgraded my hard drive on an ACER Aspire 3002LCi. Wanting to make the system a dual boot I tried to activate the recovery discs. The originals from Acer. No go. What is the secret to getting them to install? Do I need to have the contents of the recovery partition in place first?

just purchased a extensa 7220 acer laptop and a friend who builds and sells PCs recommends that I upgrade CPU to at least P4 or centrino. I thought that laptops weren't upgradable that way. Can I upgrade the CPU on this model. Robin
