DESCRIPTION
Monalisa is a stand-alone gateway package between Fidonet and
Usenet network technologies. Full featured. Supports both
Echomail/News and E-Mail/NetMail. Full security trough
configurable access lists.
PRICE
Monalisa is under the concept of Shareware. The unregistered
version has all features enabled. The Shareware fee is US$30.
By registering Monalisa, the user will receive all updates at
no extra fee. It will also receive other packages for free
being now developed that will be included in the Monalisa
distribution archive.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
AmigaOS 2.04 or higher.
UUCP package. (AmigaUUCP1.16/17 will work)
Fidonet package.
PRODUCT MAIN FEATURES
x GUI support for most applications. Using Gadtools, with
Hot-Keys implemented and On-line Help.
x Operates in a dynamic environment of data structures. No
boundries on internal configuration data. This means
unlimited number of conferences/groups/etc...
x Stand-Alone NetMail/EchoMail creator for Fidonet.
Creates .PKTs from plain ascii files. Fully
configurable. You can configure every message's:
o From/To Username/Address, Subject, Origin Line
o Echo Tagname, Packet Name, Storage Directory
o Automaticaly convert CRs to LFs for full compability
with MS-DOS systems.
o Automaticaly update the .FLO control files.
o Create packets with more than one message in it.
o Have diferent configuration files for each site.
x Usenet Newsgroups convertion to Fidonet EchoMail areas.
You can now feed Points or Nodes with Usenet Newsgroups
using Fidonet technology. This module's main features
are:
o Multiple Origin Lines for each EchoMail area.
o Fake Gateway System definition.
o Batch compress command definition (Can work with
GZIPed batches).
o Action Logging
o Email to netmail gating
o Configurable working directory. Good for low memory
systems.
o Can be configured to work with uncompressed batches.
o Max message size. Good for feeding MSDOS Squish sites
which have a 16K limit on message size.
o Define which sites and nodes you will accept email for/from.
o Bouncing and error messages for the Usenet side of the gate.
o Ability to leave out the original headers
o Ability to hide Usenet signatures
x Fidonet EchoMail areas convertion to Usenet Newsgroups.
If you use it wisely with the inverse feature, you can
establish a two way (Read/Write) conference between Fido
and Usenet. This module's main features are:
o Unlimited number of Fidonet EchoMail areas and
correspondent Usenet Newsgroup names.
o Auto exclusion of Fidonet Origin Lines.
o Character set conversion using external programs.
Useful is your want to feed Unix systems and your
EchoMail has special characteres that wouldn't be
visible in the Unix side.
o Allows private replies from the Usenet side.
o EMail gating from netmail *or* echomail.
o Support for Cc and Bcc in netmail/echomail to email.
o Define which nodes can use the gate and which can't.
"Unregistered" nodes recieve a message to that effect.
o Bouncing and error messages for Fidonet side of the gate.
o Configurable address for email. Have fidonet.org handle
the replies or have them sent to your site to handle them
yourself.
o Configurable distribution by group.
o Configurable log location

Monalisa can be found in any Aminet mirror site.
