LEFTY OF NUTICUS
I always thought it would be nice if there were more names like mine.
"Lefty" is a great name, dont you all think? It's fun to have a name that
you can add to. A name is so important to have, I mean one that others can
read and find intreging. If anyone ever posts on this newsgroup that we
don't find special, we will give them a, happy new name.
There were only 3 unread posts when I joined in on this newsgroup. How many
did I miss? What were they about?

A fair amount of background noise, left over from the
apocolyptic moment when the group was formed. The
so-called big bang theory of group creation. It is
rather unclear whether groups keep growing and growing
or whether they eventually collapse onto themselves due to
their sheer volume. Fear not, however, this group is
still in its infancy, and not many stars have yet formed.
Now, where were we... ah yes, names. Well, tactically speaking,
I think so-called easily identified special names are somewhat
special, but strike a note of fear and caution into mere mortals
who, by no fault of there own, don't have the capacity to defend
themselves as well as those of us who, syntactically speaking, are
far superior. Typically, these "Relaxation Challenged", (if I
may use that term) individuals strike out by going on a tirade
about how "Mr.IMREALTOUGH" should be ignored, and is simply trying
to start a tirade.
So in conclusion, no top secret, undercover, deep spy missions for
people with names such as Mr.IMREALTOUGH, and people with names
such as Joey Ramone, or John Doe are quite welcome to go on these,
albeit dangerous, missions.
The floor is left open for debate.

Speaking of Joey Ramone, did anyone see "Geraldo !" when he had
Joey Ramone and his mother on ?? Geraldo asked Joeys mother
how it went having all these sons who were in the same band.
Haahahhaaahhhhaaa. Excellent research staff, tactically speaking.

There is also the question of whether one should always post under the
same name. My preference is to change my nom de post to fit the style
of the group. Thus, "Black Claw--Emperor of the UNIVERSE" fits nicely
in alt.conspiracy, but would be all wrong in alt.geek, where "pud" is
more the norm.

I do not think that ONE should change your name at all. You should find a name
to fit you and keep it, not a name to fit the newsgroup. I think that we
should all join hands and sing together, THERES NO NAME LIKE MINE, THERE'S NO
NAME LIKE MINE, THERE'S NO NAME LIKE MINE.
I like the name Wilf, it kinda sounds like the noise my dog makes when it does
one of those funny sneeze/cough things. WILF..WILF...WILF....*SMAK* You OK

HEE-HAW HEE-HAW----??? My parents bought a mule. I waited all day for it to
make the noise. When it finnaly did it was louder than anything I had ever
heard come out of a living thing (besides my grandma belching). It took a deep
breath and it's whole body expanded, it started letting out the air and wow
was it loud,,,HAAAAAAAAAAWWWW----HEEEEEEEE.
But thats the part I don't get, it said haw-he not he-haw! Why was I tought to
believe a Mule says he-haw, when in all actuality it says haw-he???
I just don't understand it, did anyone else ever get tought this?
ps. the mule's name is FLOID WALKER, good name n?

Actually, no--I just look in there every now and then. One of my favorite
groups is alt.shut.the.hell.up.geek, which occasionally has some classic
examples of tactical syntax.

Hmmmm, a valid point. Why be so flaky that you have to change your name
every five minutes or so ? But then again, this is serious business,
tactically speaking, so why not ?

Maybe there is no name like yours, but the point was that tactically
speaking, would you rather be a pirate and rape and pillage in a
swashbuckling rage or be a James Bond type and basically do the
same thing but come out smelling like a rose in the end ?
I chose the latter.
And besides, this is alt dot syntax dot tactical, not
alt dot swashbuckling dot tactical.

You noticed that, too??? My ex-girl-friend lived on a farm for a while
and I visited there a lot. There was a donkey that would *explode* with
the loudest HAW-HEE imaginable. I loved it. I always asked my girl-friend,
"*What* triggers it? I mean, what can I do to make him HAW-HEE??" I used
to try everything - like run by its stall really fast, make chicken noises
in the hay-loft, poke the thing in the rear with hay - but there seemed
to be no cause-and-effect relationship. After all of that, I'd be sitting
there and the stuuuuupid donkey would just spontaneously HAW-HEE...
