There's a new dirty word in The Dirty Word Project. It comes from Dale.
Yep. Dale Houstman. From this very newsgroup.

Nope, I don't believe it. I'm not even going to look.
On a separate note, Dutch Cock is an interesting piece,
drawn in underwear it seems.

I swear to god -- it really is from Dale.

I kind of like that one too. Very interesting silver sheen to it.

I don't believe it either. Or I have too much time on my hands since I lost
my job.

It is strange isn't it? I explain it by the fact that...

A. I am unemployed and have nothing to do.

B. I gave up cigarettes and I'm delusional.

Can you please describe these delusions in intricate detail?

Dale:

> A. I am unemployed and have nothing to do.

Being unemployed is an annoying state to be in. I got laid off at the
end of March, found another shitty job two weeks into April, and now it
looks like I'm going to get laid off again at the beginning of June.
There is hope in the air, however -- a government clerk job with
benefits and a somewhat decent wage. Unfortunately, the job is
extremely uninteresting, but almost all the jobs on this planet are.

> B. I gave up cigarettes and I'm delusional.

Good luck. My dad has quit twice. Once he started smoking again
because his mother died, and he couldn't deal with the stress.

Elag asks:

> Can you please describe these delusions in intricate detail?

The delusions started the day I was "born", although I have no memory of
this event. They carry on "night" and "day". It's extremely
irritating, for the most part, although sometimes there is chocolate.

I really don't find it so. The only annoying thing about it is that I
eventually have to go to work again. If I didn't there would be nothing to
anguish over at all.

By the by: I knew certain people would either find it shocking (or pretend
to find it shocking) that I sent a damn image to your site, but what the
hey? If I refused to interact with everyone I found dismal, I would only
have a few people left to irritate. Where's the fun in that? And - if you
set up a space for portraits, I'll send some more.

I think we should all do portraits of how we perceive each other - it would
be healthy and do us a lot therapeutic good.

I get messages (like airborne dust) through the hole in my head. Often they
tell me to squeeze puppies until they confess to kidnapping Lindbergh's
baby, but sometimes they give me knowledge I can use, like where bread comes
from and who?

A li'l facial neurotoxin injection will take care of that.

Such a "Rogues Gallery" would be quite frightening. Maybe I'll dig up
some of my old sketches...

I must say that I was surprised when I saw that you don't look like Race
Bannon from "Jonny Quest")

How many of us have you sketched before? I did one of Cythera and
Fascinan's dogs once. The resemblances were really quite deadly.
Wah wah wah.

Speaking of portraits... I've posted a (re-creation of a) "group
portrait" of the denizens of alt.surrealism during a particularly
"toasty" period.

the post title is: Group Portrait

in: alt.binaries.skewed

Don't bother trying to make particular attributions since all of the
"characters" can be considered as amalgams of traits and incidents.

I hope that none will take offense and that all will enjoy it in the
humorous vein in which it is proffered.

I hope you have the wherewithal to post it (to alt.skewed for the
benefit of the binarially challenged) I'd lo-o-ove to see it.

So, how much did you charge for the flying lessons?

BTW here's a photo of Jeff Chandler, an actor who looks a whole lot like
your chum Race:

and the real deal:

Liar. I am the ogre belching flame. And the lips. And I'm flying the biplane.

How come you didn't post the binary in here, anyway?

It's a funny image. Thanks for sharing it.

Heh... cheaper than real therapy... eh?

Because alt.sur is not a binaries group and many servers including my
own won't allow binaries here... a few years ago that wasn't as much of
an issue but what with people posting (400 part) feature films to the
U-net the ISPs started cracking down on "stealth" binary groups.

I sent it to alt.binaries.skewed as that has become the semi-official
place-for-binaries mainly due to the funny name.

I'm kind of retired now. When I was commisionable, I was only doing cartoon
celebrities and the like, occasional celebrity animals. Sigmond the Sea Monster
was one. He could really work the gears of a chopper (of course he had 8 arms
and several feelers).

Just as I remember that guy. Always the charmer and never forgot how duck a right
hook coming from an ugly villain. His mother was a tranny.

Well... alt.binaries.misc is always good in a pinch...
in fact, I will re-post:

"Group Portrait"
