Does anyone here have the catalogue of the International Surrealist
Exhibition which took place at New Burlington Galleries in 1936?

If so, can you indicate whether it shows pictures of the works
exhibited? Also, what were the titles of the pieces shown by David
Gascoyne and Claude Cahun?

Thanks!
Marcus

Thanks - this one seems to be about an internal squabble within the
movement. Is it?

Thanks - the photograph on that page shows some of the artists but the
page doesn't have a list of exhibits. Do you know anyone who might
have access to that catalogue? (Have also tried JVDD)

Marcus

Marcus, Best bet is to keep researching into ALL the search engines, also, if
you REALLY NEED IT, (what I would do, if I was you) were to call JVDD on the
phone and ask him WHERE you can locate it, he, "might" know, but that is an
honest guess. Sorry I was not able to completely help locate it for you, but I
wanted to help steer you to it, keep trying, I might try to locate it myself!

No, more like Wiggy against surrealists.

Have you checked Michel Remy's "surrealism in Britain" for information
about the exhibition?

Do you think we can get away with it ? Killing Wigdor ?

I am in essential agreement with you. Someone has to do it.
Maybe we could hire Cythera ? Could we raise the $5.55 USD
for the contract ?

The movement is that there is no movement. When we speak of surrealism
it is never surrealism. It is only the intellectual shadow of
surrealism.

but he wants all expenses (including first class ticket) prepaid and
fifty per cent of his salary paid in advance;

in addition he wants a free trips to yellowstone, a visit to bandon's

Self recognition is essential. It means you are fit for combat.
If you could not recognize yourself you would be section 8.

I think Wigdor wants to be killed by a good looking French moslem WOMAN,
not a man, and while having sex with her. It's his last request and we
traditionally grant a man's last request.

He doesn't even want the cigarette or the blindfold.
