I don't think i would be alone in saying that artists...
live with regection and alienation on a daily basis
and are trying to connect with that 'other' perhaps
feminine architype (creativity). Watch out for identification,
you will surely be burned....
Unlike official surrealism I'm looking for a diversity
that has no name and that perhaps philosophies can be
compartimentalised consumed and tossed out or become
syncretic at will at the same time co-inhabitation with
unlike minds. Go ahead and study Jesus or the Yezdis
satanic religion. There is surrealism there. Some say
Szukalsi was a racist and a facist. Ok maybe he was,
but he was a great scuplturer also and so were some
nazi's like ruttman was to collage music or Hiedegger
was to physics and Lovcraft was to sci-fi.

Please elucidate. Where precisely is the surrealism in the Bible?

Lovecraft is a boor and his contribution to sci-fi (of which I am more
than cognizant of) is iffy and - even more - destructive. I find
Lovecraft's literalism destroys almost all his tales.

And there is no real need to inform us that art can be found outside the
realms of surrealism: of course it can, and most surrealists know it
quite well. There is nothing restrictive about a surrealist's view of
art history, but we do have preferences and fascism - oddly - isn't one
of them. And - we do have to remind ourselves from time to time - that
surrealism - despite the word's co-option by art history and museums -
is not primarily an art movement, so an appreciation of an artwork's
inherent beauties still doesn't make a fascist into a surrealist.

Where art CAN exist is not of prime interest to a surrealist, since art
is NOT of prime interest to a surrealist.

unless you have rigid scar tissue covering them which requires a
bi-weekly operation where the surgeon opens your chest and scrapes it
off. yipes. that wouldn't be very nice at all, would it?

In the magic. In the sex. In the poetry of the Apocalypse.
Surrealism is a juxtaposition of opposites that evoke thoughts
and images on a poetic plane. Some people just form collective memes
to justify there own ends with it. Others use it to authenticate
themeselves and some towards an open ended process.
In reality surrealism is a house of games, thus an illusion.
