Local photographer Jamie Ballinger caught a few pics of me
longboarding earlier this week and was nice enough to post them on his
site. I think this is the first set of pictures of me that anyone
bothered to post.

Here's a three pic set starting with IMG_4329.jpg 6/9/09 around mid
page. I'm in the yellow boardshorts. Nothing exciting but....

And another set starting with IMG_4784.jpg - about 23 pics on the same
wave.

It's been good fun! We've had a fun series of south swells rolling in
all week, which should continue through most of next week. No need for
those black pants, with water temps around 79. But, I coulda used a
pair of shoes the other day. Took a nice chunk out of the bottom of my
foot on the reef on Thursday.

I think I had a dream about that wave, but it was a right...

Thanks Andy. There were some nice rights coming through too. But
wisely Jamie sits in the channel which is left of the peak. (After
years of paddling through lines of white water at OB-SF, I really
appreciate those channels.) The wave size has kicked up a notch or two
the last few days. I saw a couple boards break. One guy threw away a
nearly new 8'ish foot semi that broke cleanly, future fin set and all
- easy fix. Another surfer gladly retrieved it from the trash can.

Those are some great shots to have. Sweet waves, and warm water to boot.

You must be stoked on Hawaii. Are you continuing your education there,
or have you joined the ranks of the full-time working stiffs?
