Who are some celebrity surfers?

Two I know of are Sarah McLachlan and Chris Isaak.
Maybe they should do a duet with a surfing video.

The Beach Boys have done some surfer music but are
or were any of them actually surfers?

good night,

First question: Of the original group, only the late Dennis Wilson
surfed. Later addition, Bruce Johnston also surfs and is a goofyfoot.

Out of all those listed above, few actually know how to surf. Owning a
surfboard doesn't mean you know how to use one.
Chris Isaak and Jan Michael Vincent can surf.
On the other hand, Jimmy Buffet can not. He's a total donkey.

True. But the OP's question was:

If you want to rank them on how GOOD they surf then you have at least
five on that list who can surf to your standards and several more who
know how to use a surfboard but aren't very proficient. I'm sue we can
all remember the days of our own kookdom ...

What I can't remember is when (or if) I went from kook to "surfer"...
but it sure wasn't the day I rode an inside roller at Queens on a tank
as wide as a sidewalk that I could barely drag to the water.

Please note the second sentence in my post above, that you have quoted.
I could go out and buy ten violins, but that wouldn't make me a musician.
Would it?

Perry Farrell surfs in one of his music videos but I forget which.

Cricketer Matthew Hayden surfs but we're looking for celebrities rather
than sportsmen. He'd be the best opener who surfed or the best surfer
who opened, which way you want to look at it. Or does Bill Lawry get
out on a single fin? :-)

Tom Hanks. I'm not sure he's that active now. I think he got introduced to it in high school and or college. Most of his buddies from those days surfed and some still do.
