RIP. Alex seemed kind of young for this misfortune.

Heartbreak. How old are the children? Do you have an
address to send something?
XPEH was an every time read on AS, it was all stoke.

Bummer. RIP.

So bummed to hear this! RIP, praying for his wife and kids.

Sad to hear it, he seemed to be one of those guys that would be good
on a surf trip.
My condolences go out to his kids and wife; I’ll grab a couple waves
this afternoon in memory.
Dreadful news. Dreadful. Alex was stoke personified and I treasure my
Skype conversation and chats with him (thanks to NZed). He left us far
too young. Damn!

sing thee to thy rest."

Damn I have a few regrets though, here I am reminded that life is
short and we shouldn't let working get in the way of living. And we
should check into AS more often!
I always told Alex I'd take him on an Oz surf trip, down the coast for
a day or two, surfing our brains out, fires, guitars, Coopers
Sparkling Ale, sleeping in swags under the stars. The stuff we grow up
doing in Oz. Never got around to that. Also though we met up over
dinner now and then I never delivered his desired true blue 'rooey on
the barby'!
At least we did meet up for a surf at Snapper upon his arrival in Oz,
I'm sure he appreciated that and the hospitality of all Australians he
encountered. I know they made friends quickly and easily as anyone
with young kids in Coolangatta can. My thoughts go out to Sara and the
kids and I'll track down NZed to see if there is anything I can do to
help them out.
