It's already 8:45am on 01-01-10 downunder so Happy New Year to us and
the same for tomorrow in the rest of the world.

Unfortunately, the northeast coast of New Zealand's North Island where
I live only has a 0.5 metre swell that is already blown out and the
water is unseasonably cold. All undoubtedly due to Anthropogenic
Global Warming and the shadow of Copenhagen.

Happy New Year! It is a cold, 01/01/10, at 9:15am in these parts with
some white flakes on the ground. Soon I will be temporarily exchanging
these flakes for white sands and warmer temps.

Happy New Year! It's small today and ridiculously high tide = flat
this morning. But forecast is for more swell manana. Everyone should
be over their hangovers by then...

had a fun New years eve surf with the new Coasties that just came in
town.
Good people, just came from PR.
sort of a change, but they are stoked which is always good for a surf
buddy(s).

Head-high sets in the am and oil-glass, still sort of raw on the swell
and not lining up well.
Got a handfull of little coverups, and had a blast with the crew.
Good way to end the year.

Hope ya'lls new year is shaping up well.

A much belated Happy New year to all.

Been disconnected for a while, though still getting some waves. Have
new technology now, so hope to chip in a bit more. It does seem like
the endless September is over now in Usenet! But good to feel the
real crew are still here. (except the ones that have sadly gone to
the great point break in the sky.)

Bummed to to hear about Neil's back incident too, glad to see you
appear to be mending.

Today surf report isn't great, so I'll try to dig up some other
recent ones.

Best wishes all.

Ric.

Heh heh...

One man's small and mushy is another man's off the richter scale.

Rock on, BA!
