whoa! nice hit, SB. you're smiling at least! how were the waves?
Ouch. It' probably a pretty good size lump by now. Speedy recovery SB.
OK, it's a common mistake but easily avoidable. When taking pictures
of your wounds, do NOT smile! It's supposed to look _painful_, not
fun. When you smile. it looks like you've just been made up with
special effects ketchup for a Halloween party. If you can't frown, at
least grimace. Just a tip from someone who's BTDT.
The kinda dues I do not like to pay.
A small price to pay for the joy of riding a wave standing up.

Are you referring to surf riding or your putt-putt goals of the day?
Good to see you back and making a last ditch challenge for the ASKOTY!
No stitches, No points.
You need something like Dennis or Bud, or Turby come on you can do
better!
Well the wound as not fun, but the session was really fun!
I surfed a few waves up at Combustables (top of the point), had
another kind of living ocean experience that I'll describe in another
haiku, then connected to a long giant slalom course of a wave all the
way to Shithouse. Picked off another steep, long one from the
Shithouse peak all the way through the main Freak Peak zone before
getting shut down in the horseshoe section that awaits inshore of the
main peak. Dodged sketchy sets for a little while, then dialed into a
great long wall off the Sandbar peak that took me hooting all the way
to the first staircase. Tried to grab one more shifty wall down there
and paddled into the first stanza of my haiku. You know the rest.
So that's the whole point from near the top to near the bottom in
three lined up, overhead waves. At the moment captured by my camera it
was very hard not to wear a shit-eating grin.
Ho ho ho!
