In the early sixties, top surfer, Jamie Budge, made The Living Curl. On Friday the pre-DVD release premiere of The Living Curl DVD took place at Duke's in Malibu. (Not that I knew Peter. But he was one of surfing's genuine legends and had the kind of adventures that made the rest of us envious. And, at a time in the sport when taking risks came with the territory and so many of the participants tended to be independent, adventurous and just plain wild, Peter stood out as a real maverick amongst mavericks.... more »
